PRO is an organisation for all pensioners. You will find a PRO club in most districts, where you will be welcome. Here you can meet new friends, travel, study anything you are interested in along with others, sing in choirs, exercise or take part in other activities.

As well as being a social club, PRO looks after the interests of pensioners in various national matters. These relate to pensions, taxes, healthcare, care of the aged and other things that are important to the members.

PRO is Sweden’s largest pensioners’ organisation, with 399, 849 members. PRO is politically independent.

Membership

You can become a member of PRO if you have any kind of pension, such as a retirement pension, sickness benefit (formerly disability pension), a contractual pension, widow’s pension or survivor’s pension. If you are not a pensioner yourself, but your wife, husband or partner is a member of PRO, you will also be welcome as a member.

As a member, you will obtain various benefits, such as the opportunity to take out insurances on advantageous terms. You will receive the “PROpensionären" [PRO Pensioner] magazine, which can also be obtained as a talking magazine for those who find it difficult to read print. In addition, you will also receive free IT support, discounts at PRO’s People’s High School and on travel with PRO’s travel company, Grand Tours. Many clubs have various additional benefits that apply in the local area.

PRO’s People’s High School in Gysinge

You do not need to have any special previous knowledge to go to PRO's People’s High School. The main school is located in Gysinge and there is also a People’s High School in Stockholm.

PRO’s National Lottery on the Triple Scratch Card

PRO runs a lottery of its own, which provides revenue for the business and for PRO’s People’s High School.

Grand Tours – the joy of travel with a grown-up taste

Grand Tours is PRO’s own travel company. It arranges spa and health trips, river and sea cruises and extended travel and tours.
